Welcome to the third edition of the Christian Event.info Newsletter.

It's been a very busy last couple of weeks putting the finishing touches to the ChristianEvents.co.uk database but - cue the drum roll - we're proud (read 'relieved') to announce that it is now launched and up and running! It already contains over 100 events in the UK with more being added daily.

On the search engine you can select a region and then search for events by date, month, event, event type, venue, town or keyword. And if you are an artist or promote events for an organization/church/theatre, you can easily post and edit your own events in real time - including adding an image, an audio/video link, and a link to your website!

This week's newsletter features the latest listed events around the UK, including details of a Christian Valentine's Charity party in London, and a review of the first Club-Unity event!

Event Review...

Club-Unity.org

Saturday 22nd January saw the launch of what everyone involved hopes will be a regular Christian event on the London social calendar. And going by the fantastic response for the opening night, I certainly think it will be!

The initial batch of 300 tickets sold out in the days leading up to the event so The Temple Bar was extended to its full 600 person capacity. Although most people who attend are Christians, everyone is welcome.

Four top DJ's played some great club music through the evening - which runs from 9pm to 2am. The drinks are all very reasonably priced, and despite the number of people present there were rarely any queues at the bar. In fact, I bet The Temple Bar has never had so many soft drink sales in an evening! :) It was also very refreshing to be in an almost entirely smoke-free atmosphere.

Club-Unity is run in conjunction with Twentythirty - who share their vision - and under the umbrella of the Evangelical Alliance. The main co-ordinator is Larry Parker (just don't tell him that it's his picture I've included here!) and many other people also put a lot of time and effort into making this event happen. I have to take my hat off to them - by all accounts it was a resounding success.

Event Highlight...

Charity Valentine's Party - London, Sat 19th Feb

Continuing with the 'party' theme, this Charity Valentine's event sounds like a lot of fun! Especially if your preference is Salsa dancing rather than club music! Can't Salsa dance? No problem ... Salvador will be on hand to teach you the moves.

Quality Romanian food will be served, live music from Tunerider, ice breakers, and a charity auction.

8pm to Midnight. Tickets are £15 in advance and £17 at the door. Proceeds will go to the 'Hand of Help Orphanage' and poor families of Romania. For more info click here
